2023 Chronos Grey
 

Picked up a new 2023 Chronos Grey and traded in the 2018 Q3 we had with almost 100k miles. The previous model served us well but since my wife drives it, I was starting to get concerned about any large issues in the next year or so.

Negotiated a good deal on the new one with Audi discounts, the Costco 1k off and 15k on the trade. We paid 27k for the 2018 brand new so not bad depreciation over the five years.
Our 23 is pretty loaded up and the technology has come a long way. Memory seats are a nice addition although the removal of the Homelink is a bummer. Regular gas versus the premium (which by me is a $1 more per gallon) is a nice surprise.
Overall a really nice car and I can see why Audi sells so many of these.

They removed HomeLink in the 2023 Q3?

I can confirm that for at least some of the 2023 Q3’s. Mine is without Homelink. Supposedly the chip shortage was the cause. I don’t know if it effected ALL of the 23’s, though.

Chronos is a great colour. My wife recently ordered one - Technik, Rotor Grey interior, Black Optics and black badges, driver assist and 20" wheels. Coming sometime this fall as a 2024 build.

After all the negative talk on this forum, nice to see someone purchase a new Q3.

For the record, I've had mine for over 3 years now, and the only issue I've had were warped front rotors. This was covered under warranty.

I agree. The forums are all like this. I own an SQ5 and that forum is littered with people with issues and concerns. When I owned my F150, same story there. Not many people post “I had a wonderful drive today and got excellent gas mileage.”
We owned a 2018 as I stated and drove the heck out of that car and made it to 100k miles with zero problems.

Yes. Homelink is no longer an option on the Q3’s. Back to the old school remote hanging off the visor. Other brands are doing the same on some models I would assume is cost cutting.

You will love it. We had a QX50 a few years back and Audi always lagged behind in technology. The new models have a beautiful presentation of maps and much more competitive technology. Make sure your dealer sets up the “key user profile” as Audi does not make this process easy for you to do after you leave. Washed and waxed the Chronos Grey this weekend and noticed how it has 3-4 different shades of color depending on how the light shines. It really is unique and beautiful. Good luck on your new ride!
