Default bronze on wheels

So my wife is a pretty hard braker when she drives. All 4 wheels are the nasty bronze color. Does anyone know of a good way to clean that off without scratching the wheels? and also, anyone else have issues with the inner rear brake pad? car only has 71,000 miles and have done all 4 brakes ones, but rear inner passenger pad 3 times. Seems to be an audi problem that needs to be brought to their attention.

Take a look at the Sonax line of products.

High pressure soapy water has done the trick for me in the past. Finish off by wiping down clean with a clean rag.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try. Ive used "SOS" pads in the past but the wheels dont like them.

You should never use "SOS" pads on the wheels since the steel wool will damage the finish.. Also, never spray wheel cleaner on hot wheels (after driving) or wheels that have been sitting in the sun.. Allow them to cool first.
