My first TPMS false alarm was in March, descending from a week in the snow to warmer conditions. Back then, I assumed it might have been built up ice melting off a wheel and confusing the TPMS with a sudden change in rotation/vibration.

Yesterday, we were on a long highway cruise in mild weather. Our drive started around 65F, peaked around 70F, and was around 60F when we stopped at a rest stop for about 10 minutes. Within minutes of resuming highway speed, the "Underinflated! Check all tires and reset TPMS" warning flashed on the DIS. When I found a place to pull off, all tires checked out OK and I reset the system and completed our drive.

I sure hope this isn't going to become a regular occurrence. Otherwise, I guess I will learn to be less startled and anxious with each false alarm, until I eventually am asking how to disable TPMS permanently...
