Default Trailer Hitch for 2016 Q3 Quattro

I am having difficulty finding a trailer hitch that will fit my 2016 Q3 Quatrro. I went to a large trailer hitch installer and they said because it is a Quattro there is nothing out there. Does anyone have a trailer hitch installed and where did you get it?

Thanks.

Hello Joe in Hamilton,

I don't know if you found your hitch yet but I had a local garage install the following on my Q3 2015 and the installation is perfect:

I also installed that hitch. Love it. Works great for the Bike rack. Doesn't hang down below the bumper cover.

Just purchased a Q3 2015 and installed a trailer hitch . I was wondering where i could buy a tow module ,because the dealership wants to sell me the whole kit with the tow bar that costs 800.00 . is ther anything else that works to do the lights or do i must get the oem module . If I have to install the oem module , can I buy those used somewhere ?

Hello, I just purchased a 2017 Q3 Technik S line (I'm in Canada). Was looking to put on a trailer hitch for a bike rack. I like the looks of the Drawtite 75218 but I've heard of some people having issues with this hitch due to the hitch pin hole being so close to that angular piece of steel for the safety chains.

Looks like a couple of you have installed this hitch. Have you had any issues with it?

I also find the hole is close to the triangle plate for the safety hooks.

It can make the inserting and removing of the clip difficult if the clip hole in the hitch pin is in the wrong position.

But, once you find the proper orientation for the hitch pin hole, everything is fine.

Thanks for the info. In my case I have a Thule bike rack I want to use it with and it attaches to the hitch using a bolt that has a 3/4" hexagon head. Would that size of bolt head fit between the angular steel pieice?

Should add that I'm referring to the second hole (the larger hole) on the hitch that I'm concerned about the bolt not fitting in between the hole and the steel piece.
