Default [DIY Guide] Audi Q5 - RS5 Brushed Aluminum Pedals Retrofit (No Mods Required)

** DISCLAIMER: FOLLOW THIS GUIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR. **

BEWARE: The original dead pedal/foot rest may result in permanent damage during the removal process. Please understand this before you proceed

Tools:
1. Gloves (to prevent cuts)
2. Rubbing Alcohol (To help slip on the throttle and brake pedals. The liquid will evaporate after installation, leaving no slippery residue. I learned this trick from a BMW X5 pedals installation guide)

Parts:
1. Audi RS5 Throttle Pedal
2. Audi RS5 Brake Pedal
3. Audi RS5 Foot Rest/Dead Pedal

Procedure:
1. Open driver front door and clear work area.

2. Remove original brake pedal rubber cover.

3. Pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol onto the inside of the RS5 brake pedal. Allow liquid to flow around the rubber flaps, then slip on the brake pedal. Repeat this step for the RS5 throttle pedal.

4. Remove foot rest/deal pedal by unhooking the clip at the top, pull five (5) pedal studs out of holes, then pull pedal flap (red arrow) out of car interior trim (red arrow). Again, this may result in permanent damage to your original pedal. (If you pay close enough attention to the picture, I only managed to break ½ of a stud out of 5. (hint: middle stud)

5. Install new RS5 foot rest/dead pedal by tucking the pedal flap under the interior trim, insert pedal studs into all five (5) holes, then engage pedal’s top metal clip to the interior plastic trim.

Result:

Thanks. Those are European part numbers that won't work in the US. I ended up just going to eBay and type in "Audi RS5 Pedals"

Looks much better then stock pedals. Great mod. Are the pedals the same in both the 2.0 & 3.2 trim?

Yes, same parts for 2.0 and 3.2 since both are automatic transmission.

Thanks.
My first pedal mod was 10 yrs ago, retrofitting TT pedals on my old VW MKIV Jetta
