As I understand it, the options and option packages in Canada have very subtle changes (or just change the names). Audi, however, delivers the same things for all of the Americas, not just the U.S. From what I've read, every place on these two continents get the same stuff. For instance, you cannot get the SQ5 in bi-turbo setup anywhere in North or South America. It's as if they don't want certain things over here, like the RSQ3, TTRS, and all of the Avants.

So, is there anyone with a Canadian 2015 SQ5 that can confirm if it has the stop-start feature?

Thanks!

I have the start/stop in my US based 2014 Q5 TDI. I initially didn't like it but as I've gotten used to it I usually keep it on. If I am around town and know we have a lot of traffic around stop sign streets I hit the off button and it's off. I turn it back on when I'm more in the clear. The more I drive with it around town the more used to it I get and even know ways to not get it to turn off with the pressure of my braking.

We have it in our 2015 Q5 - not a fan. It's pretty responsive - it starts up when you lift off the brake. But there's still a hesitation. At a traffic signal it's okay. At a stop sign, if you actually come to a complete stop, it's not so great. I stopped liking it the first time I had to go from a stop into fast moving traffic, and the extra .5 seconds or so made the merge go from no problem to a bit hairy.

If I lived in an environment with few stop signs and lots of long signals, I can see the eco-benefit. But that's not what I typically encouter.
