Default 15K Service Interval Question

Is there a way to reset the service interval message on the MMI? I am able to reset the oil change message but no luck with the service message. Any help would be appreciated.

You will need VAG-COM to make the re-set. With this product you can also make many other changes to your car.

Thanks.

Is the VAG-COM simple to use? I have never used something like this before.

To re-set your service reminder it's very easy. To make some of the other changes, well it's not for the faint at heart. There is plenty of help in these pages though.

By the way, you'll need a computer (laptop) to go with the VAG-COM. The software comes with the product but you will need to download it from their website. Updates are free.

I thought you reset the oil in the MMI. There is an option on my S5 to do this. I have never reset it because I have Audi care and the dealer does it.

Is it true that you need to have the VAG-COM to reset the oil level monitor? I am not really interested in the VAG-COM so I guess then I am stuck going to Audi for all services unless an independent shop has the proper tools to reset.

Thanks...

You do not need VCDS to reset the oil level monitoring system.

"we have vad sccaner that we reset light with but not sure if it would work on 2011."

I guess I am stuck going to Audi for service unless I can find a shop tha can reset the monitor.

There's GOT to be a way to reset it, don't have the car or the manual today , but
I find it hard to believe there is no way to reset it....

Just like they can't void your warranty for not using THEIR oil and tires, they can't force you to go to them to reset service reminders

Would guess it's in car - setup - is it maint reminders ????

good luck !
