2010-2011 Q5 Advice please!!
hello Audi folks, first post here. I'm looking at used, not CPO Q5s. Budget is around $18-20k and km ( based in Toronto) are approx 120-130,000km (75-80k miles). I'm specifically looking for 3.2L for reliability, and don't really care about the fancy stuff (lane, nav, etc). Should I look out for something specific or atleast worry about random stuff. I will be doing a PPI at an Indy Euro shop. Anything I should look out for? And anyone here have anything with that many km/ miles? How have they been holding up?
Little history,
previous cars were jap luxury, 99TL, 03 IS300, 07 TL. Keep my cars for long periods of time. Don't want the boring jap but don't want to deal with "nightmares" as well. Been a fan of Audi but never had one...
thanks guys, I tried finishing a similar post but had no success. Any info helps.
cheers

Hi, you'd be best to avoid those model years because they're known to have an expensive to repair oil consumption issue. With the mileage you're considering, you would be out of warranty even if you had all the paperwork to prove the car has been properly maintained. Maybe consider a 2013 or newer.

The 3.2 V6 burns oil as well? I was under the impression it was the 2.0T that did.

I say if the 3.2L model is running great and not consuming oil, I might be a good candidate. Yes some had problems with carbon buildup but not all. Have the vehicle records and condition checked out by an Audi service department.

I don't believe the 3.2L has an oil consumption problem.
