My MY14 Q5 2.0T has the 3-way folding rear seat. Which models have only 60-40?

My 2013 has the feature and I just discovered it from reading this thread. Thanks.

And I enjoy reading the owners manual, and just never came across it!!

European models that don't have Rear Bench Plus installed. There's several levels of rear bench, and while our base includes the highest tier, you don't have to get it elsewhere (save some money if you're not interested in all the functionality you could get).

Not everywhere, depending on market and trim levels
There are only two models: the base and rear bench seat plus (surcharge for rear bench seat plus cca 200Eur)

Man, I could of used this knowledge a few times.

Mind Blown!

Learn something new every day.
Actually, its not 40/20/40, its 60/20/40. You can't fold down the 40 portion behind the driver side without folding the center 20 as well.

Depends on how you look at it, you can fold down behind the front passenger 40 and 20 in the middle, then there is are 40 behind the driver.
In this case, is 40/20/40

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to fold down the middle rear seat in their Q5. It appears to be separate and has a little button to push and release a latch. The latch is visible but upon pushing the button nothing happens...

Any help is appreciated.
I couldn’t find out how to fold down the middle seat back either. I read all comments and looked at the manual but still couldn’t work it out. But suddenly, Eureka! I found it!

First, pull down rear middle arm rest by putting fingers in slot above arm rest and pulling forwards. Then put fingers back in same slot but feel upwards for a release catch and pull forward. It’s not visible but you can feel it and it releases the middle seat so it folds down!

I hope this works for you too! 😊

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was losing my mind trying to figure out how to fold just the middle! I have a 2017 A4 Premium Plus and it works just like you described though it is not necessary to fold down the armrest first.

after reading this thread, I went out to my 2015 Q5 and noticed what appeared to be a separate trim piece on the top of the backrest of the rear middle seat between the middle and rear drivers side head rest.
when pressed, the middle seat reclined separate from the other two seat backs!
