Default 2011 Q5 Heated Seats

I turned my heated seats on for the first time yesterday and was quite disappointed. On the highest setting, the seats barely got warm. In my '09 Q5, I couldn't stand to have them above the #4 setting. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I'm going to ask my dealer, but I'll be surprised if they will be able to find anything because the seats are heating, but just not as much as I'm used to.

I rarely use heated seats but mrs elevens certainly does and she noticed the same- they don't get hot enough.

They are really worthless IMO. I asked the dealer about it and he said there was nothing they could do.

I remember a thread about this, but couldn't find it. It has something to do with Audi not wanting to be liable for people getting burned. The '09's were the last year with the "hot" seats I believe.

Wow. Me and the mrs are away up in the mountains for our honeymoon and have been using the heated seats in our 09 a whole bunch, and they are super hot. Better than in my 09 A5.

My only complete feeling of BS about this car. The heaters SUCK in my 2010. Good thing I'm moving from MN to CO in 4 weeks. The long sub-zero stretches here would not be fun.

In some vehicles heated seats programmed to work/ heat depending on the outside temp. reading - so if it is not too cold the seats would not heat high...

I don't know if audi/Q5 is that way...

+1 on my '09. Used it today early in the AM here in the northeast. Got me nice and toasty.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case given the level of tech these have. Hope you're right!
