Anyway to get a DIY write up of how to replace the water pump? Thanks for the picts of the socket cut out...

my wife just brought her A3 2.0T in because it was leaking antifreeze. The mechanic charged $350 for an OEM (Saleri brand) pump and 4hrs labor @ $115/hr. Does that sound like a reasonable price? The pump price seems ok but 4 hrs seems like a lot.

850lemans No I would say that that is within the range of reasonable for a pump replacement properly done.The hourly rate hurts but having owned a garage It's amazing how little profit is made at these kinds of rates and 4 hours sounds about right.
