Default Post TDI fix - electrical issues?

Hi all. Had my '14 Q5 TDI fixed as there was no buy back option. We were doing fine for awhile, but recently, I have had 2 Add Blue Sensor issues and as of this morning, an O2 sensor issue. We never had any trouble with anything in this car prior to the fix. Dealership obviously is saying it's unrelated and there is nothing they can do but fix the problems as they come up. I'm wondering if anyone else is having/had similar issues. I Googled and found lots of references to power loss, but haven't seen much on electrical or sensor issues, so I thought I'd check some Audi forums. Thanks!

The O2 sensor was installed as part of the fix, and has gone bad for a few folks. The AdBlue system is prone to problems (was before the fix and is afterwards), but at least you have the dieselgate extended warranty to cover these costs. I’m not exactly sure why the dealer would say these issues are not connected to the fix, as all these systems are connected in the first place, and the O2 sensor a newly added part.

Fix the problems as they come up. That’s your only option short of trading in the car. Good luck with the car.

Thank you for the reply Mythdoc. I'm definitely not a car girl, and while I know in abstract what the fix entailed, I didn't realize that sensor was added as part of the fix. I appreciate your explanation.

As for trading it in, I'd rather not as it is paid off and I'd like to avoid a new car payment (plus I really do like the car!)

Well, at least you have a 10 year warranty on those parts now

nyifan No just get these 2 issues dealt with by a dealer - no charge- and you'll probably be just fine. For perspective my 14 Q5 @ 205k kms/ 125k mls has zero of these issues, but I'm mostly highway, am very careful with fuel choice, and do my maintenance religiously.
