Default 2014 Audi SQ5 Buy?

Hey Team,

I'm moving on from my A3, and one very interesting option is a 2014 Audi SQ5. It has about 60k KM / 37k Miles on her, but cosmetically is in fantastic shape. I'm super tempted but I'm slightly worried about the KM/Miles.

What do you all think about overall reliability for the next few years, considering her age?

Thx!

I would say for 4 going on 5 years old and only 60km on it. works out to about 15k/year. which is on the reasonable to low side of things. Is the SQ5 from an Audi dealer or a second hand lot? If it is a CPO from an Audi dealer (and knowing nothing more about the car) I would say it sounds like a good deal.

I have heard next to zero issues with the 3.0T engine in the SQ5. plus the 8spd is a really nice touch.

Hey Warhead,

Thanks for the reply. The SQ5 is from a dealer lot, not certified pre-owned but does have a car-proof. I'm not SUPER scared of the KM/Miles but there are a few other options with less cost and less KM/Miles. I really like the SQ5 but I know that's an emotional response. Trying to be logical!

I've had my 14 SQ5 for 2.5 years. Bought CPO at 71,000km and now has 135,000km. One warranty repair for a DRL light control module ($300 part) and that's been it, knock on wood. Just make sure the servicing has been regular and the recalls are up to date (should be if you're buying from Audi) and go for it. At that age it might be needing brakes and maybe tires. Get a close look and negotiate. I got new tires and my front brakes for the CPO and its getting close to needing rears now.
Fuel economy isn't bad either.

Is this an Audi dealer lot or an other dealer?

We recently got a 2015 with 55k and were also concerned with the mileage. But after reading about these engines/transmissions they appeared reliable, knowing we won't put too many miles on it, the cars maintenance history was perfect, and being a good deal convinced us to buy it.
So far it has been a great car, zero problems and very fun to drive.

I've just brought my 2014 SQ5 in for service...it has 120,000 miles on it...

It needs an oil change and front brakes...that's about it.

Love this car,

I purchased my '14 SQ5 in May of 2014...4.5 years and 110,000 miles later - couldn't be happier with the purchase - I've been following recommended maintenance throughout and no problems so far...only had to replace expected items at expected intervals - brakes at about 75-80k; tires, oh and wiper blades too

I have a 14, get it. The mileage is low at 37k Miles and you will love it!
