2014 q5 DRL problem
The left side DRL on a 2014 Q5 is not working. I changed out the controller card on the headlight and it still does not work. Any other suggestions?

Oh, no light bulb for LED DRL- only swapping the whole headlight might help then.

I believe that there is a separate bulb for the LED. I'll check tomorrow and post here.

I noticed that when I turn on the turn signal the LED light will flicker for half a second. I have no idea what could be the problem. My situation is that I am overseas with the military and Germans only warranty the car for two years. I should have US warranty left on the car but I have to bring the car to a US dealership. I have to call Audi USA to see if they help me fix the car.

"I should have US warranty left on the car but I have to bring the car to a US dealership."
No problem, call Audi Roadside Assist and they will flatbed tow it to the nearest US dealership.(G)
The turn signal and the DRL can be interlocked by the car's computer, to meet national laws. In the US, the DRL must turn off (or rather, it must not be turned on) while the turn signal is in use. This apparently to prevent confusion over what light in on/blinking. But the EU setup apparently doesn't require that, so the cars can be programmed (VAG COM or Carista, etc.) so that the turn signal doesn't affect the DRL, or the DRL turns off when the turn signal is in use. The two are "linked" by the program choice.
If you call AoA and explain that you are a serviceman based overseas with your US-purchased Audi, I would be very disappointed to hear that they could not make some accommodation. If nothing else, they certainly COULD contact your nearest dealer and say "Hey, do the job and we'll pay you what we pay for warranty repairs here" and everyone should come out satisfied. AoA is not always very creative, so you may need to suggest that to them.
