Default 2014 Q5 Order Guide out (4/12/13 rev), including TDI and SQ

See the link. Can be downloaded from there for faster access. See pp. 21-27 for the Q5 related versions. Hopefully it stays up; I have found the Audi related publications can disappear after a while.

Since my interest is specifically the Q5 hybrid (on order), I will post a link just below on that version to try to gather up comments together and not clutter up this post. Others may want to do the same on 2.0T, 3.0T, TDI and SQ.

Link to 2014 Audi Order Guide (Q5 at pp. 21-27): https://www.dropbox.com/s/8mnzq3oems...e_Customer.pdf

(link revised for current location as of 4/14)

Default 2014 Hybrid Order Guide subthread (as in, essentially no changes here)

Hybrid early notes:

It appears there is no HP change to the gas portion of the hybrid motor set up, while the regular 2.0T is moving to the 220HP version. See the upper left of p. 22 where it says 245HP for the Q5 hybrid. Same as 2013 rating. Likewise from the Audi Germany site, while the 220HP 2.0T is already available there in gas form for the 2013's, the hybrid is at 245HP and thus staying with the underlying 211HP gas motor.

Same few color additions for 2014 roll through the hybrid in the U.S., including a red.

No other apparent changes to the standard or optional features were obvious. Doesn't surprise me given the recent 2013 refresh and typical Audi lifecycle patterns.

Answering a prior concern again from the board some months ago, the Chestnut Brown interior option continues to be available, and is not just limited to the bigger motor Q5's even if the AudiUSA website might suggest that when you try to configure one. I have my confirmed 2013 order in with that choice w/ sport seats (for Euro delivery in July), and had no issues getting it in as such.

I was looking to see if they added either adaptive cruise or adjustable damping (or the Drive Select package) that can be found optionally on the 3.0T and now TDI and SQ, but they did not. So, they are positioning the TDI with the highest end options found, but continue not to do so in these handful of higher end option choices on the hybrid.

Net is 2014 essentially = 2013 on the hybrid, thus I plan to keep my few week 2013 order on track for this summer.

Convenience package from MY 13 now standard on all Q5 models.
Audi advanced key included in Premium Plus package.
Audi Side assist available as a stand alone option on Q5 Premium Plus models.
And last but not least.. TA DA...
3.0 TDI with 240 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque available summer 2014. The TDI offering will mirror that of the 3.0T but without a standard S-Line exterior.
I have a deposit down for a spot in the TDI allocation if there is one!
In addition, I see a few of the finishes updated for the S line package. Looking forward to seeing the new wheel options, hard to guess what they look like based on text description alone.

Yeah, looks like the S-Line package now has black window trim and presumably black grille slats, as well as black roof rails. Looks like the A6 should be a guide for how that would look (approximately).

I'm also interested in seeing what these wheels are like for next year; the TDI comes with 19" but I really don't want 19" but rather go with 18" or 20" to keep a decent selection (and decent pricing) on tires.

Interesting...

In Canada, the SQ5 packages are called "Progressiv" and "Technik"

Strange, does Audi Canada do that with the other S models, too, I guess? Here in the US everything is the normal Premium/Premium Plus/Prestige, with the except of some trimless models (mostly the really high-end ones).

The last time I remember them doing it was some time ago. (back in 2008?)
Otherwise it's typically "Premium" or "Premium Plus"

New exterior colors available: Maya Brown, Volcano Red and Lava Gray.
Except one of the colors is wrong. Maya Brown isn't listed. The 3rd new color is Daytona Gray Pearl.

I look forward to checking out the different Grays - are they all currently available on other Audis so I can find samples on the lots?

Edmunds shows "Convenience Pkg" as "included" on '13 Q5 2.0T. So it seems that was already standard???

I like that the Advance Key is included in PPlus. I didn't want to pay $500 for it, but now that it's included, I'm sure I'm effectively "forced" to pay for it ) I think I'll enjoy it, just was trying not to get every bell and whistle not needed...

Strange, the Product Information Booklet does list Maya and not Daytona. So one or the other is wrong. Guessing the PIB is right since more effort goes into that doc.
