Default 2014 TDI Fuel filter change

I have a 2014 Q5 TDI and want to know if any of you have a video or detail instructions on how to change the fuel filter.

Thanks in advance,

Pedro, heed that last caution. You'll need a Ross-Tech VCDS to run the fuel pump and bleed the system. Audi mechanic told me they get several cars in each year where the owner did a DIY fuel filter change and ruined a fuel pump. Our 3.0 TDI has a High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) that can be destroyed without proper fuel line bleeding. It supposedly throws lots of little shards of metal into most of the fuel system components. Cost to fix: "Roughly $7000" according to the mechanic. Forewarned is forearmed.

Here's a thread I saved talking about it. The fuel filter is in a different spot, but hopefully the VCDS fuel pump priming instructions will be the same for our 2014 TDIs.

sjsuQ7, we have another thread that piggybacks with this one.

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...ilter-2866893/

Most of us use both threads together to accomplish the 2014 Q5 TDI fuel filter change. Perhaps the mods can do their magic and merge these two threads.

Other thread was helpful and filter change went without a hitch.

BTW, recently back from a extended road trip from Austin TX and the F1 race back to Iowa. Tollroad in TX had 80 mph speed limit!!! Other than 1 hour traffic jam and accident in FW, we cruised with a nice tailwind most of the way and avg'ed 35mpg!!
