Both examples noted in this thread where Audi gave the owners new cars with minimal is no hassle. What's to complain about that.

Here's a few articles on the ZF 8 Speed, which will be in your TDI. The trans has been around for years and is pretty much bulletproof. The exception being a high performance version they built for Chrysler which was subject to recall.
