Default 2016 Q5 T4 or V6

Hello,
Looking to purchase late model Q5 but wondering what engine should I choose. I test drove T4 and was quite happy with the acceleration so V6 should be better in this area.
Reviews I've read say the added weight of V6 may affect the handling negatively. Any comments on this?
My main concern is reliability. Is one significantly better than the other?
Thanks

You might see a neg handling on a race track. The normal driving you will be doing, you won't notice. V6 all the way.

You have a SQ5 so yes you won't see a difference in handling. I drove both a 2014. 2.0T and 3.0T extensively and noticed that the 2.0T handled a lot better in the twisties than the 3.0T and both Q5s had the same brand/model/size tires. Coming off of a 3.0 A4 I found the 2.0T Q5 more comparable in handling to the A4, than the 3.0T. Again it depends on the driver and the more I read the responses on this forum it seems that most Q5 drivers don't care much about crisp throttle response and hard driving handling in the turns. I do! I have both a 2014 Honda CRV and a 2014 Q5 2.0T, the CRV has 36K miles on it, and the Q5 11K miles, the Q5 is 4 years old this June and will most likely be traded in on a sport sedan (probably non-Audi) in the future. The CRV stays as it does a lot of things much better than the Q5 here in the PA climate.

I still say most normal drivers won't feel a difference or enough for it to matter, imo of course.

One of the advantages of buying used is it bends the cost curve of upgrades in your favor. I'd look for a 3.0 gasser or diesel and skip the base engine.

I feel as if the heavier engine makes the steering feel better and makes the car sit on the road a lot better.

I prefer the V6 over the 2.0. The 2.0 also gives crap fuel mileage, you don't lose much efficiency when you get the V6 compared to the weak 2.0.

OP, this topic has been discussed many times before...so perhaps you should take a look at this thread here: which is pretty extensive on the 2.0 vs. 3.0: 2017 Q5 2.0T or 3.0

Thanks to all for answers and links.
Great reading with a lot of useful info.
Looks like both are quite reliable so no worries there and since there's never enough hp I will shop for V6.

Thanks again and hopefully I will be back as an owner.
