Adblue heater element issue !!
Hi Folks,
I have a 2014 Q5 2.0 diesel. I recently took the car for a service and also got them to check an 'engine light' that had been on for a few weeks. Turns out I have a failed Adblue heater element to get it replaced its going to cost me around £2000. This has obviously come as a massive shock and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what it cost to get resolved.
Car has only done 50k miles. I've attached the diags report, but the error code was 16936 (P20BD00) Reductant Heater 'B' Control Circuit / Open STATIC

today my car has a trouble starting up. I called the RAC who too run the scan and found this fault. I wasn’t expecting that it would be that costly issue to fix. However, I am looking for the feedback if this issue you had, was fixed for the cheaper price.
any replies would help

I looked up part 4G0-907-355-B (based on a VCDS scan I had taken) and cost in USA for part is about $170. You should consider getting a quality scan tool like VCDS and change the part yourself, assuming of course this is the part.
Good luck.
Good luck.
