Default All-Season Lexani LX-TWENTY 255/40R21 102Y

I couldn't find anything in search about these. In my quest to find a decent all-season tire for my SQ5 w/ 21"ers I came across these. I know Lexani from their rims, but I've never heard anything about their tires. Does anyone have any experience with Lexani tires they could share? Is there any immediate reason I shouldn't give these a try?

arcofdescent I wouldn't do it.There are a limited number of reliable tire manufacturers in this world., from cheap to high-end.There are a ton of Chinese sourced and subsequently brand labeled tires around.I would not trust my life to them.Surely if you own an SQ5 you'd want something decent if not exceptionaly good ?

Thanks for your thoughts, MurrayA4. This has less to do with cost and more to do with finding an A/S tire in the odd-ball tire size on the 21" SQ5 rims. I want to move away from having to swap my tires twice a year.

Ok that more sense. You're sort of limited with 21" s among the good stuff Michelin Pirelli Continental Dunlop etc. They're all good in their own way,but far from cheap and don't expect good wear.21's are evil !

Looks like your best bet is the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season in 265/40 21.

Tire Rack currently has them for $189 each

I have this tire is 19" size, it is worn off but still got me through some huge snow storms this year.
When it was new it was the best all season tire I ever had.

Default SQ5 21” options

I was looking at the Lexani as I also thought I was cool getting the 21” rims and summer tires but winter is coming to Chicago.

The only other brand I found was Lionheart LH Five which are a little lower in price than Lexani.

Btw, the tires for the SQ5 are 255/40 not 265 so Tirerack only has Pirelli’s A/S or winter in that size at about twice the price.

There is a reason why the price is twice as high
China has more than 70 tire factories and over 200 different tire brands

For me, a quality and proven tire is the most important part of a car

Here is an interesting text about Chinese tires. Zhongce Rubber Group No. 1 tyre manufacturer in China
https://mechanicbase.com/tires/tire-...id-purchasing/

For many people the price is important but not the quality and safety

Example: stopping distance 100-0km / h with different tires, 36-41 meters long, sometimes 2 meters can make the difference between life and death
Is it worth the difference of $ 300-600 decide themselves

I wonder what the reaction would be when you pay a premium brand Audi, BMW or MB, and the factory installed Chinese tires on them

Good luck with the choice
