Looking at the purchase of a 2014 Q5 TDI. Came across this article which claims the engine wont make it past 200,000...whats the general consensus around here? Any high mileage owners? Other than eating 02 and exhaust sensor after the fix, what issues are folks generally reporting?

That's a pretty weak "reliability report", probably written by a guy from Mercedes ! The timing chain and injector issues were of limited concern in the previous generation Tdi.Our 14s are a major redesign and are rock solid.I'm on Audi #3 2.8L V6. 3.0L V6 and now the Tdi. My previous engines were still going strong at over 200K miles.Virtually no oil consumption and minor repairs but full maintenance to factory specs was done by me with appropriate fluids always being used.My Tdi is at a paltry 150k miles and it's by far the best engine I've ever owned.Will run a long way.
