I'm pretty sure you already checked this link: 16683/P0299/000665 - Ross-Tech Wiki
Does this happen with and without the boost gauge hose connected?

I disconnected the boost gauge for testing for over a month.
still same.
Yes I did check ross tech wiki. . It gives some guide. I will discuss below.

1. Not sure if this is caused by my chiptune. "exhaust system is restricted (typically the Catalyst) this fault may be the end result.)." I may hae to disconnect my chiptune now to test this theory.
2. If it is caused by the turbocharger boost controller valve sensor that is difficult to replace.
3. Wastegate play means I need to buy a new turbocharger.
4. DIverter valve I can check
5. For pipeline leak checks I have to buy a smoke machine.

Are you running the original DV? Or did you upgrade to the piston based one? Pierburg part # 7.01830.13.0 Audi # 06H145710D, if you didn't it's a safe and recommended upgrade.

And I hope it's just either the DV or a boost leak from a faulty or badly connected hose, a new turbo would be $$$$!

Yes I have the original metallic DV. I was not sure what I had in the past, and purchased the newest part to replace existing, only to discover that the part is the same. I still have the old one in my car parts closet.

Yes turbo is expensive. I do hope that it is either DV or a hose.

Do you have information on manifold flap delete, was watching today a video of how to??? is this good or bad???? do you know what are the disadvantages of this?? My manifold flaps make noise when engine is cold. Wondering

First I need to test DTCs with chiptune off. Will be testing this for a week.

I read about flap delete a while back when my I take manifold broke, I first though flaps were just stuck due to carbon buildup but it was the flap actuator that was broken so I replaced the whole unit.
I know that you need to program the ECU if you delete the flaps though, IE sell a metallic intake manifold with no flaps, looks really cool, but it’s pretty expensive: https://www.performancebyie.com/ie-2...ntake-manifold

Regarding DV valve, what part # do you have? I’ve never seen a metallic OEM one.

Blue box is the DV I fitted when I went APR stage 1, you might be right about being painted aluminium 😉

Ready for APR STG I

Here is mine was not expensive from my dealer. I have this as a spare part since it was working fine when I removed it. Previous owner must have replaced it.
