Yes the metallic manifold looks lovely. Wish ours was made of aluminium too.
Are you sure the ecu needs reprogramming if we remove flaps and insert the flap delete kit???
wait will try to find the link.

Yes, you need an ECU tune if flaps are deleted.

They do for EA113 https://www.goapr.com/products/rfd_20t_ea113.html, they probably offer it for EA888 too, maybe worth to check with your local APR dealer. Next time my plastic Intake Manifold fails (hopefully not in the next 60K km), I'll seriously consider the Performance by IE one.

Might try to clean it before it fails. Flaps make noise when engine on idle and bonnet is open, on cold starts some noise in cabin too.

They might be just dirty, you can try cleaning them indeed, mine was replaced by part # 06h133201AN, old part # was 06h133201T, labor was fairly cheap but the part itself is quite pricey, around $400.

read that newer parts have bettter design, curved flap corners instead of square, might buy a second hand before opening it just in case it is better.

I guess latest revision is #06h133201AT but I needed it in a hurry and my local Audi dealer only had the AN revision at hand, they said it's still much better than the original T revision I had, but to be honest, I do not trust plastic pieces in contact with hot engine metal parts

You had no choice .
*if moving from original intake manifold (06H133201AN) to newer style with 3 ports (06H133201AT), fresh air hose 06H133583F will be needed as well*
Not sure what they mean three ports but this is the difference.
