AUS: Advice needed on purchasing Q5
Hi All,
I'm looking at purchasing my first Q5 hopefully this weekend. I have narrowed it down to a couple but was wanting some general advice from those that know.
First one is a 2009 Q5 3.0 v6 Turbo diesel with 135k kms on the clock
The second is a 2011 Q5 2.0 TDI with 85k kms on the clock.
Both have full service history and I'm told both are in immaculate condition (won't know until Saturday when I inspect)
Both are around the same price of 20K Australian.
Should I even be considering the model with 135 000kms or should I be steering clear and going for the lower km model?
Sorry for the very newbie question but only having owned japanese vehicles prior, I'm really not sure of the pros and cons of the models.
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Ryan

I've heard negative opinions on the "fixed" 2.0 TDI after the emissions modifications. Big drops in power. I suspect performance will be marginal for a SUV that size without much improvement in mileage. Diesel efficiency doesn't drop that much when you reduce displacement unlike a petrol engine.
However, the highest miles on the 2009 would concern me a little. But I think you'll love the power and smoothness better. No change in features form 09 to 11. Mild update was 2014 I think.
The '09 seems overpriced I think.
