Aux cable to replace iPod cable?
I want to replace the MMI-iPod cable with an MMI-Aux (3.5mm) cable on my 2010 Q5. The Audi site shows part number 4F0051510C.
I find the same part number on eBay for much cheaper (no surprise), but there it indicates that it works with vehicles that call for 4F0051510L, not 4F0051510K.
The cable in my car is 4F0051510K, so I'm guessing the above won't work. That's unfortunate, because the only one I find on is the C also.
So, any way to get this cable other than through the dealership (which charges $60 or $80 or something crazy for a wire with some plastic on it)?

Part number 4F0 051 510C (for A8 2003-2007) not for Q5
You need a part number: 4F0 051 510T
ebay - reliability of Chinese copies "This part is compatible with 61 vehicle" ???????????
Do not buy Chinese copies.
Many have had problems because of the same

or
Use Google Chrome with a translator

Confirmed. I recently went to my local Audi dealer and this is the required part number. Was told the "510C" has been obsoleted and "510T" is the correct number. Set me back 70 bones (ouch!) but at least I can be assured that it's guaranteed to work.

I'm using a copy now as the one Audi sent me started falling apart by itself! So much for a $70 cable. Luckily Audi supplied it for free. The copy came with a kit and has RCAs instead of 1/8" connector. Works well.

Thanks! It's probably cheaper for me to buy an iPod than the cable
This is actually pretty funny. Yesterday I asked the dealership for the wrench for the roof rack, since my used vehicle was missing it. Parts guy says there are 10 different versions, so it might take some time to figure out which one I need. He ended up finding it, and it's $70.
Can't wait to find out what "real parts" cost on my Audi!

And all the service guy wrote down was "8R0-07", so it looks like I don't have enough information to figure out which one it is?
Shouldn't there be only one wrench for the 2010? Any other way I can figure out what it is / buy it for less than $60 (just went back and double checked his price)?

This is the official price in Europe 16,10 EUR
There are 10 models of 2008-2013
Part number: 8R0-071-712 (D / E / F / G / H / J / K / L / M / N)
This is how they look different models wrench
This must have your Audi dealer
-1 set of coded socket sets for identification of matching torque wrench
Show this to your "Audi dealers" and my advice is to change the dealers because he doesn't knows how to do his job

The parts guy is (understandably) unwilling to give out part numbers. Can anyone think of a way to find out which wrench model fits my car so that I might be able to find it elsewhere than $60 (I was wrong about the $70 I think)?

There are many different part number because each one is "coded" diffrently. Like spijun said, there is a kit (8R0 071 712 P) to identified which one you need.
