B Pillar Rattle

I found the culprit of the rattle on the B pillar area. It sounds like plastic hitting metal or hard surface rattle and it's very annoying.

It was the rear door exterior black glossy trim, and it's called an Applique (8R0 839 901).
If you gently tap the top of this trim on both sides, you can duplicate the rattling sound that can be heard inside the cabin right next to your left year and passenger's right year.

Anyone knows how to remove this piece or anyone can show me the step by step process how to get to this part and remove?

Sorry cannot help on the fix but we have it too. Figured it was related to the seat belt tensioner/retractor in behind. Had it on the list at the 1st service and the Stealer CND'd the problem [as usual] . . .

If you got it off... did you pursue any kind of fix? Did it help?

If you look at the Porsche Macan forum you note that many Macan owners are seeing the B pillar trim actually starting to crack.

Can anyone give me any insight into how to gain access to the screws shown in the picture? I have the replacement applique / trim (mine is cracked), but haven't been able to figure out what rubber to remove or how to remove it without making a bigger problem for myself.

Does the rubber need to be replaced, once removed, or should it be okay to reuse?

Thanks!

This is an old thread, but I ended up not removing the trim panel because I didn't want to go through all the hassle of removing window and all.
There's another big thread about the rattle and possible quick fix. It looks like Audi hinge/door design is the culprit. when the vehicle is moving, the vibration causes the entire door rattle way too much, so that the black exterior trim makes contact with vehicle chassis (b pillar) making noise/rattle. Unless Audi changes the design, the problem will not be resolved correctly by manufacture.
The only thing that has been successful was to put something in between the door and b pillar chassis, such as foam tape that is thick enough to minimize the rattle/vibration of the door.

Thanks- I don't have the rattle, but I need to replace the (thankfully, front) exterior trim / applique; I just don't know how to get access to the screws holding it to the door without damaging any of the rubber.
