backup camera not turning off
I just starting seeing this strange issue today. The backup camera and parking sensors fail to turn off automatically after shifting from reverse to drive/park. The only way it will turn off is to press the parking button. Once it did turn off after moving 200 feet or so.
Very strange. Any ideas? |
It should turn off after you start moving forward so far or fast.

They don't immediately turn off after shifting out of reverse. They're designed to stay on for a while, or until you move faster than a few mph, to allow you to pull your car forward a bit while still having the sensors.

Thanks for the replies. I thought for sure it was turning off immediately after I changed into gear before. I guess I was wrong!

Wait, shouldn't it turn off after putting the car in park though?

I think that the sensors stay active up to a speed 12-15 km / h can not remember exactly

I wish it would stay on up to 140, that would be pretty cool.

I have the Nav but no backup video. Is this something easy to add? Is there a lit. DIY
