Backup Camera/Parking Sensors Don't Activate
I have a 2010 Q5 Prestige equipped with the backup camera and parking sensors. Recently, I noticed that the backup camera and parking sensors do not activate when put in reverse, or when the button on the center console is pressed. I've done some research, but can't find any solutions.
The car is scheduled for maintenance in two weeks anyways, but I'm afraid that an expensive repair bill might be the breaking point for me to just sell the car, as it is only worth about $13K.
The roads here are rough; do you think I might have hit a bump too hard and knocked a wire out of place? Any ideas are appreciated!

It could be many things, loose connector probably, but first step is to have it scanned if you haven't yet, preferably with VAG COM.

Yes step #1 is to have the vehicle scanned, either by Audi or someone competent with VCDS.Come back here and we'll give you some advice - perhaps good.Don't commit to any repairs until you do this.

I tried re-seating the wiring to the camera and also to the head unit myself to no avail, so I had my repair shop replace the wiring harness to the rear. Voila, problem solved.

Sorry it's taken me so long- just got it back from service! While picking up my car, they informed me that the parking sensor control module had gotten wet. Likely, the drainage tube from the pano sunroof leaked water onto the module. I didn't have them replace it (as it would have set me back $1300).
Yikes! Sorry to hear you have the same problem! Mine actually also worked once earlier, but hasn't since.
gronk, no static or interference patterns on the screen.
Do you think the module is actually the issue? Does anybody know if I can replace it myself easily?
