Bluetooth module location

Usually it is written on the fuses compartment. Open the two sides (where fuses are) and have a look. I know because I removed the radio fuse lately.
Would not buy any nav with only 256mb ram.

Checked the manual and I only seem to have a fuse for the phone cradle (old bulky stuff in the center armrest console), I'll check if removing that fuse helps...

Thanks! Also, if you know the last revised part number for the Bluetooth module please let me know as well, because if there's no fuse, or that does not solve the problem, and there's no joy coding the car to ignore the module, my last option is to buy a working module and replace the faulty one (and hope for the best). Cheers!

Check fuse ST3 in luggage compartment sketch above. Probably it is part of a group (fuse3) but I am not sure. Try it.
If radio is not influenced, then it should work.

Iggy-
The nice thing about bluetooth is that it takes two to tango. Leave the evil factory bluetooth to play with itself, just pair your phone with the NEW unit you are planning to install. And from that moment ever after, they'll ignore the nasty one that came from Audi.
Since you'll have to pair the new unit with your phone anyway...all you have to do is drop the old connection. Shun it. Let it know, we Americans do not tolerate such behavior.
Much as I'm averse to anonymous "white box" products from Shenzhen...those Android head units for the car are looking better and better all the time. Let us all know how what works if you do.

Thing is that the faulty Bluetooth unit is causing my radio to crash, cause audio interference and restart itself, so far I use a Bluetooth unit to stream music (Car2Play) which works great as long as the main system works well. So I need to get rid of the unit, either by physically or logically before installing the aftermarket unit.

When I bought one made by fiscon kufatec (cost me 350 same price as original from Audi), few months later I found a similar product sold in China, at 1/5 of the price.
I have my Bluetooth device fixed with a double tape at the back of passenger glove box. If you remove the glove box trim you can access it. (Camera interface I can access that just by opening he glovebox).
Both, kufatec and chinese technology bluetooth, connect to radio, radio screen and car speakers same as original (can signals). I guess you can install original same way but you need to buy a new harness (available).
