I got a check for $750 from Bosch. This for my 2010 Q5 TDI where I'm the sole owner with no lien. I guess that's the first half of the final, like the $4,000 I received from Audi over the summer.

Does anyone know the status of the EPA approval for the repair? If I remember correctly (I rarely do) Audi has until this fall or early winter to have a repair approved or be forced to buy back all the cars.

That is my understanding as well. Have not heard a peep since the paperwork rolled out back in the spring stating so.

December 2017 rings a bell in my mind with a 2-month fudge so this means February as the drop-dead month.

Hmmmm-no way am I endorsing that check until I get a clarification.
Maybe yours was different, but mine said that "I acknowledge the individual release of claims in the Bosch settlement" - presumably you have already released your claims when signing up for the settlement itself - i.e., claims you might have but are covered by the class settlement, which bar you from a separate action.

BTW, I just checked my bank to which I electronically deposited the check - oddly instead of being available today, it is delayed to 9/29. Hmm . . . seems like Bosch folks don't really know what's going on.

Yeah, and ours that arrived today seems to imply in that last sentence that by cashing it I am releasing Bosch from their obligations. Well, I thought this was supposed to be $1500?

I'm going to contact Audi about it but just sharing here too. Since I set everything else up for direct deposit, I was a little surprised to get a check to begin with.

I suspect a rat . . . Supposed to be just a single $1500 payment.

I just contacted Bosch. Will reply if when they respond.

Item 11 of the FAQ's on the Bosch settlement website stipulates the payouts to all owners/former owners/lessees, followed by the following:

"The entire Bosch Settlement fund, plus any interest, will be distributed over the course of the settlement process through a combination of one or more payments to Bosch Settlement Class Members."

I received my $750 today and based on the above, I have no qualms about cashing it and will do so, with full expectation I will receive the remaining $750 (plus interest??) at a later date.
