Brake pad light after rear brake job 2012 Q5

I replaced rear pads and rotors, did not have a VAG so I removed the actuators and opened the calipers then compressed the pistons changed parts and tighten calipers and installed actuators. Every thing works fine but brake pad light stays on. Got a Foxwell NT510 after the fact. I show no codes and can’t reset pad thickness. I hope I didn’t break anything. I was in deep when I realized EPB needed releasing. Could it be front pads? They look good. Any advise would be appreciated.

I thought the pad wear sensor was only on the front.

I thought maybe the EPB motor timing sends a signal to the computer as to pad thickness. If not I’ll look at the front brakes. This is all new to me I’m used to a visual inspection.

You may need to remove driver's side caliper in order to inspect the pad wear sensor. Not difficult.
