Counting stats on water pump problem
I have worked hard to keep as accurate a count and details as possible. My problem with the water pump poll is I cant tell who has ticked what box. The I dont have a problem is completely irrelavent to me but I had mine replaced no fail is very important. It shows more than anything how much Audi is stepping up.
Take a look at these random screen shots of the Q5 spreadsheet. If a username cell is Blue you are counted in the at risk or likely to have the plastic pump. If it is Grey then you have reported a fail or replacement. These will have been counted in seperately as in screenshot two under Mech F or Extra info giving this result
Water pump fails 66
Replaced no fail 11
Still at risk 174 total exposure 251
report solution rate 31% as production share 45%
If it is clear then you were deemed out of the risk time slot.
Comparing the stats count with the poll count I can see currently 9 more have voted replaced without fail but I cant allocate thus the Audi solved percentage is too low.
You can help by looking at your own entry on the actual spreadsheet (not these pics) and reporting back here (or PM me) if your record is not correct.
screenshot 1 showing MY and Power unit
screenshot 2 showing Mech F (mechanical fails) and Extra info
as usual E%OE

You have my water pump information correct, but you need to correct my location! I live in West Virginia, not western Virginia. It's a separate state (no doubt much to the relief of those actually residing in Virginia!). The correct U.S. Postal Service abbreviation is WV. Thanks!

Ahhh I have the dreaded blue cell...LOL. I have verified that I have the plastic pump and will ask for a replacement at the 15,000 mile inspection. I'm really paranoid about this too, I sometimes smell what seems to be anti-freeze and am always checking underneath the Q for a leak.
