Hello All

I bought brand new AUDI Q5 two months back and purchased AUDI CARE along with it. Because of Hurricane Sandy, my car was flooded and is totaled. I paid $800 for it, how can i get it refunded as i won't be able to use it.

You need to call Audi of America at 800 822 2834. They will assist you. Good luck and sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your auto loss. I hope that the rest of your storm recovery goes smoothly.

I recently read the fine print on Audi Care. Basically, it says that you can not get any money back unless your car was "totaled" by the insurance company, etc.. If it is totaled, they'll give you $125 per service not used. Here is the text from the Audi Care agreement:

Audi Care plans cannot be canceled and are non-refundable. No refund will be given if the lease is terminated early or the lease term is less than the coverage period. EXCEPTIONS: In the event a plan vehicle is designated as "totaled" by the insurance carrier, the vehicle owner or lienholder will be reimbursed $125 for each remaining maintenance. If you request a refund, you must submit your request, including a copy of the contract and proof of totaled vehicle, in writing to the following address: Audi of America, Inc., Customer Relations, 3800 W. Hamlin Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.

Hi all - on a related topic, I had a 2018 Audi Q5 that was totaled 6 months into the lease. I did not use any of the Audi Care maintenance and did not even know I could request a refund for the unused portion. Being that it has been 3 years, do you think it is still worthwhile to try to secure a refund? I was still out the money paid.

Yeah np. As for your question, I'm sure had you contacted them 3 yrs ago you would have received some sort of credit, however the fact that it's been such a long period of time, you're most likely SOL. Since the onus isn't upon Audi, it's upon you to contact them about your situation.
