Cargo protection/liner?

Especially in winter, along with skiing/snowboarding I've got a bunch of stuff going in and out of my trunk. I am thinking about a cargo liner or similar to help protect and deal with the increase in snow/dirt that is likely to end up in the trunk.

What do you guys use? Should I get a genuine Audi cargo liner or are the others just as good?

Canvasback. Pics and link in my build thread.

I have skis, boards, boots and poles in and out of the back just about everyday of the ski season. I use a furniture moving pad that's about 6 feet by 6 feet, this does a good job of protecting the back of the Q5. It's thick to help protect everything from those sharp edges.

I have a Canvas Back as well as the cargo liner. If you order a Canas Back let them know if you want holes cut for the D-rings in advance.

Get the liner from Weathertech. It has raised edges to contain water/dirt/crud and is made from relatively thick vinyl.

The Audi liner is pretty thin and more likely to be cut or damaged.

Best to just buy from WeatherTech directly @ $150 or elsewhere?

I just bought one for $120 for my Q5 Hybrid from the WeatherTech website, but I'll have to modify the right side of the mat. No one is selling these for the Hybrid model - including Audi!

Hmm where did you get $120 from? I see WeatherTech.ca as $153...

Did my Hybrid w/ the Audi one

Same principle; just need to trim it to deal with the right side storage area where they put the tire repair kit. Took about five minutes with a utility knife and a small straight edge to mark it and use it as a guide to cut most of the line. Came out clean to where you would have to look very carefully to know it was even modified.
