I had hardwired my V1 when I first got the Q5 and recently picked up a few accessories to integrate it further:

- Remote Display. Redirects all display to the remote instead of the main unit. I previously had this put into a custom install in my S4 (see below). I may do something, but not likely that elaborate in the Q5. May put it on the dash in the lower left corner of windshield as looking out - we'll see.

- SAAVY. Allows one to set a MPH below which alerts will all sound in the "muted" volume setting. This is great for shopping centers, stop lights, etc. I'll probably start with a 35mph setting.

- BOB. Likely just a capacitor, this stabilizes the voltage so the V1 doesn't go through it's start-up alerting routine every time the Audi Start/Stop restarts.

- Remote Mute Button. Will connect this behind my turn signal stalk to have a more convenient location to mute the V1 instead of reaching up and hitting the button, which always comes with the possibility of pressing to hard and changing the mount angle. I did similar on my S4 as well by adding a new button on the door (see below), but this will be less permanent / more discrete.

Our douche city politicians will explore any option to increase the bottom line in the name of "safety". Going more that 5 miles over the limit? Bam!

I haven't noticed my V1 turning on and off with start/stop. Does this really happen? Where did you get "BOB" from?

Mine does. It's sold by V1. All is from V1 except the mute button.

I am taking delivery of my Scuba TDI S Line tomorrow, and I plan to do a similar V1 setup. Please post photos when you complete your install!
