Coolant leak caused by water pump?

Keeping a record on the spreadsheet. My plan is to record the actual fails but not any replacements recalled by Audi. The sooner they get through them all the better!
Perhaps they should replace by region in preference to build date. How do they even take account of mileage. Higher mileage is possibly also a fail factor.

2013 Q5 2.0T, 52,000 miles – initially got the warning light low coolant in reservoir, topped off with water, leaking persisted and increased over the next few months. Diagnosis with pressure test was coolant leaking from water pump (black plastic housing) and replaced water pump (part # 06H121026DD), charged 4.5 hrs labor but it actually to over 6 hrs. Repair cost $982, includes 5% first time customer discount asked for at time of pickup. (other quotes bet. $1000-$1300, and some might charge separate diagnostic fee $90-$180)
