Default Cost of 35k service

Just wondering for those of you who have done the 35k service at an Audi dealer, what did you pay? In deciding whether or not to get Audi Care (as I approach my 15k service), I've received several, widely varying price quotes for the 35k (most other services were relatively close). I've been told the following prices for the 35k:

$465
$567
$397
$350

$350 is not bad (hopefully it's not a bait-and-switch price), but $567 is crazy (and makes it a no-brainer to purchase Audi Care). Could there be something in the 35k that some dealers ($350) are leaving out?

What has everyone actually been paying?

I don't want to start another discussion about Audi Care being worth it or not, or do your maintenance at a local mechanic... Just looking for what Audi dealers are charging for the 35k.

Thanks!!

Quick update: another dealer quoted me just $1,030 for all 4 services, but another quoted me 'around $1,500'. If it's really around $1,000 then not really worth it to buy Audi Car for around $800. If it's really $1,500 then of course it's worth it... I just wish the pricing was a little more consistent as it really makes me wonder if some of the dealers are under-servicing at each interval, or if some are just ridiculously expensive (or are quoting it that way) to push me to buy Audi Care.

But wouldn't that save you $200 (20%)? That seems pretty worth it, at least to me.

For me the $200 is borderline as we don't know if we'll keep the car past 3 years or so (we only plan to use 1 service per year for 4 years as we don't put many miles on) and we might not use the last service.

If the total price is really closer to $1,500 then we would definitely do it. But if it's closer to $1,000 then we're not so sure.

One thing to keep in mind is that these are prices now. Could increase by the time you'll use them.

Very good point, I was just thinking that as well. I can easily see the dealers who are quoting me around $1,000 raising their prices in the future (perhaps low-balling on purposes so that I don't purchase Audi Care b/c they want me to spend more with them...)

Just wanted to follow-up. I'm definitely going to get Audi Car as I've continued to receive wide-ranging quotes for the individual services.

In particular, for the 45k I've been told $180, $212, $284, $325, $453.

I don't have a breakdown from each dealer showing what they are doing, but any idea why one dealer would be 2.5 times more than the cheapest, and 40% higher than the next closest? Is it possible there is something else they are doing that others aren't? Or are they just trying to make more money?

Good call on the Audicare.

I think there's a reason why a lot of people recommend not going to the "stealership" if not under warranty or pre-paid maintenance... if they can charge 2x more than the competition and their naive customers are willing to pay it (because they don't know any better), it's pure profit for them!

On another vehicle, my stealership quoted me over $1,200 for an issue they identified while replacing spark plugs.

Thankfully, I was able to get it done for $500 less at an indy (~$150 parts and ~$550 labor).

The thing that angers me most though is that the stealership had ALREADY done most of the labor (to get into the engine) when they identified the issue so all they had to do was get parts and install them. One more reason not to trust the stealership. =)
