Guess what? While driving home I get a Check Engine Light! ran a quick test using Carista and it gave me 2 codes: P040B & P0033. Haven't had the chance to run it through VCDS for a full diagnostic but P0033 doesn't look good to me. Hoping P040B is a simple sensor. Also noticed that when I wind up the turbo and release the petal I hear some sort of squeak from the turbo. Hard to explain but it's not normal. Back to the dealership we go...for the 3rd time.
I'll post the full diagnostic when I run it.
I figured this has gone off topic a bit so why not start a new thread. I'm sure other people have gotten the run-a-round from their local dealership.

I forgot to mention that the first time I brought my car in, when they discovered the mystery oil pan leak, I busted the service manager in a lie when she told me my car was still being worked on and I had to wait another day. Well I told her that I was currently looking at the detail guy wash my vehicle through the cameras mounted inside both front and back. Turns out they scuffed a panel and needed to wait until morning for the guy to fix it. This time when I got my vehicle back both cameras were unplugged. BASTARDS!

Life is full of surprises. I wish I could log in to audi garage ip camera network so I could see the mechanic working on to my Q5. That would give me a piece of mind.

Ford and Honda have a large screen glass where if you wish you can look at the mechanic working on your car.

Audi car unfortunately goes underground with security code to handle the lift and garage doors..

Sorry to hear that unfortunately quality dealer consistency does not exist. They should be up-front about scratching/damaging a car but some are not.
Unfortunately best answer is usually "take it to a different dealer next time".

On the technical side....Does it give more details on those codes?
P040B might be an EGR temp sensor. They probably forget to connect it after working on the car.
P0033 might be bypass valve related, again maybe they didn't plug it back in
IIRC squeak on release can sometime be wastegate related, make sure they did not somehow damage that.

Good luck.

Nice. Preferable I would say. A transparent garage has nothing to hide.

VCDS gave me 6 Engine faults. Strangely it didn't spit out P0033 where Carista did. Hmmmm
I cleared them and the same 6 appeared so I think they're here to stay.

Any insight would be appreciated

Thanks

"13156 - EGR Temperature Sensor 1
P040B 00 [168] - Implausible Signal"

Open the pod bay doors, Hal.
I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that.

"Implausible" means the ECU the ECU is getting signal that is totally out of bounds. Which if you are lucky means it was unplugged, even though that condition IS totally plausible to a good programmer.

I've seen plenty of glass walls in service areas, but nothing like the typical car wash where you can walk down the entire length and see everything. Usually, the "glass wall" is just at one end of maybe 10-20 bays, giving you not much to see. As digicams get smaller and cheaper still...but then again, there are often state laws against secret video recording in the US.

Sometimes my car gets a bit of special attention, having a rather loud OSHA-compliant backup alarm on it, which pretty much disrupts any shop it is in. And lets me know it is backing out of a service bay, window or not.(G)

Try a full VCDS scan you have 6 faults but only 3 are in the engine. The EGT sensor 1 and the fuel pressure sensor. The other 3 are in other modules but may be effecting the engine module.
