My solution is Google Play music through Bluetooth, great quality and almost limitless library.

Yup it is an Audi issue. Had a Lexus for 9 years and it NEVER happened. Sat radio Issues happen all the time with the Audi. But hey the Lexus only had an old fashioned mechanical dipstick. We get an electronic one! so...

Took my 2017 q5 for service and brought this up to the service guy, he said it is a known issue and there is no resolution. He handed me a sheet from Audi that described the exact issue we are having and it also said that there is not going to be a fix/resolution due to the fact that this MMI 3g+ is already considered a legacy system even though it’s only a few years old.
