DO NOT buy 034Motorsport Adjustable Solid Rear Sway Bar
i bought the 034Motorsport Adjustable Solid Rear Sway Bar
i have a 2016 Q5 3L TSFI car https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...13e62dce26.jpg This is the audi item for the sway bar from AUDI that was in my car I spent 6 hours in the last two days to install it. It DOES NOT FIT! I wasted all this hours trying to make the Sway Bar fit into my car. It is too short the sway bar from Audi is on the top the 034 sway bar in on the bottom Here are the photos. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...9fa82b31ab.jpg The 034 link it too short https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...f32afb86d1.jpg it cant fit on the left https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...486c49c0d4.jpg or the right |
There was a model that they were selling that didn't fit. They had customers return those for a refund and they've released a new version.

I have this on my car with 0 issues. It isn't an easy install though.

i got mine this summer. maybe they changed the design or sent me the wrong item. as you can see in one of the photos the two sway bars are different length . thus i could not get them to fit

The redesigned model came out about two months ago.

It might have been a good idea to have called the manufacturer first before creating a "do not buy it" post. As others have pointed out, the design was apparently changed recently, possibly after you bought it. It's unfortunate you went through the effort trying to install it but it sounds like it should be easily remedied with a phone call. My understanding is 034Motorsport has a good rep for customer service.

I purchased an 034 rear swaybar and links for my 2016 SQ5 two weeks ago and installed it last weekend. The bar fit perfectly. The installation instructions are completely absent, but the end links don't appear to have an up or down and fit fine. I was impressed with the stock SQ5 rear sway bar, though the OEM links are garbage. It's possible that you could put the 034 end links on the OEM bar and get pretty good results cheaply, but since I already ordered the full kit I just installed it all.
Car corners like it's on rails, there's no comparison and this has to be the #1 mod. A tune is soon to follow. |
