I actually haven't had it in the shop yet but I know I won't have any issues with the dealer to get it fixed. They've never questioned any of the other repairs I've asked for. Since your service dept is being jerky you might want to try another one. I'd be very surprised if there isn't someone on this forum in your area who has had the DRLs replaced.

Of course they did! No fails in cars with arrival after Nov 09. Stats gathered to date:
Total Q5 recorded.. 472
Total Q5 pre Dec 09 183
total with DRL fails 21 (now 22, adding edwyun)
Thats cars, some had both sides fail, some more than once. Some had both sides replaced despite only one side fail.
The #s hardly stack up to a recall do they?

Had a message in the Dash saying that the right side of the day time running

When we got home looked at them they seemed tobe fine.
Stopped and restarted the Q5 and the message went away.
I'll call you on Monday
Dealer got back to me !!!!
check the forums, whahaha
Drl module probably letting go
Will there be a warning light in the dash when they are not working. Like what happened Yesterday.
I’ll call you after Nine !
Yeah there will be a light that comes on
Habib do you have the Audi part numbers of the Modules that you will be changing on Wednesday
For the Day time running lights
I have a rendezvous at my Dealer Wednesday March 30th
They will be replacing modules 8R0998472 left and right

I don't know when you last visited your dealership to have any work done? I had my 2010, P+, in for work in February and I had both DRL control modules replaced per Audi Open Campaign 94E7. The service advisor just had it done per Audi. Have both modules replaced, not just the one that went out. Your dealer should know about it. Good Luck!

Thnx Manup about the campaign#!! I'm sure to mentioned it to them. My Q was actually in for 15k service just a month ago or something and I think they even checked for campaigns because I had an issue with the swooshy/skweeky sound from the steering wheel or column, but they didn't mention the DRL's. Maybe they just wait till an issue arises. Well I'll contact the dealer now well prepared. Thnx again love this forum!
