Once I picked up the car in US... the blinkers were RED ;/ I know that they didn't replace the tail lights because I marked them in EU ;-)
So my question is... is the color somehow controlled via VAG?

90% of Q5s in my area have red blinkers, but I see one once in a while with orange ones. I even recently had a loaner from the dealer with orange blinkers. ( I didn't compare the part #s though).
I got my Q5 on European Delivery. Red blinkers. Always was, always will be. I've never seen one here in the States with amber ones. I'm with you, though, I hate red blinkers.

It's the actual LED's that are the difference in color, not the programming of it. You have to replace the whole light housing to change the color. Did this on my A3.

I know it and that's why I wrote that there are EU and U.S. versions but some think that it may with vag-com to change

Are there any pictures or videos of the amber blinkers on the 2013's? I'm just wondering what the light patern looks like.

Can VAG-COM make the blinker only blink with the thin row of LEDs (even if they're red) instead of the whole light cluster? That's one thing I like about the previous version of the Q5.

I would imagine that would be exactly the change that one would need to make with the European lights. So making those changes on a car with US lights, would give you a thin row of red LEDs blinking for a turn signal.

Thanks for the links. There's a lot of useful information there. I don't see anything that specifically talks about the thin blinker on the Q5, but I assume it can be configured with a VAG-COM. I don't have that (yet), but it's something I would like to do.
