Hi Guys, Do you know if there is anything like a parts fiche that one can look up part numbers. I was given a license plate filler plate by my dealer (they are to install it later), but it seems like it will not fit my vehicle. I have 2012 Q5 2.0T with parking sensors, so does the filler plate, but the cutouts on the plate do nat match the bars on the grille (cutouts are every other bar, see attached pic)
Is there a way to find out a correct part number for my model. I think they gave me the part from a possibly older model. THey insist to come in and they will fit it. I do not have time to just drive there for nothing.
Any help is appreciated.

I can't say that I can help you with an exact part number at the moment, but that filler plate looks like it is for an S-line grill (with parking sensors). I just went through a similar issue because mine needed to be replaced (paint was chipping - warranty issue). The filler plate you have looks just like mine (which, again, fits S-line grills). Best bet, have the parts guy pull one off a non s-line in the lot (if there are any LEFT!), get the number on the back and order THAT part. Or, even better, tell them to give you that one and let them worry about replacing the one on their lot. Oh, yeah...and if they have to order one, and they've figured out the right body style version, make sure they make the right selection between 'license plate' or 'NO license plate' depending on where you live Good luck!

actually...I just realized. For MY 2012, the grill differences are between Premiums and Premium +'s (PP's now come standard with s-line body kit). Hope that will help the you (and the parts guy!)

The part numbers on the plate that does not fit are 8R0 807 287 B, 8R0 807 287 C
I have Premium plus 2012 2.0T

Of course not fit the serial numbers 807 287 B 8R0, 8R0 807 287 C, because it is model for the S-line. Look for the link that I have put.
You need:
8R0 807 287 A T94(black-glossy)
8R0 807 287 A 1QP(stone grey)
8R0 807 287 A 3FZ(black)
