Do you know if the S-line Q5 has the same bumper shape as the SQ5?

I was wondering if Daryl made this hitch for an S-line Q5, if it would also work on a SQ5.

I would think they are the same bumper for the most part, minus the dual exhaust and other external plastic piece.

We're you able to connect with Daryl? I'm curious on the ETA, I'm dying to get a darn hitch on my SQ5, I use the hitch all the time.

RobC - Could you provide us an update? I spoke to Daryl yesterday and it looks like around 4 wks or so once he's able to get a vehicle in there for measurements. It sounds like he's as eager to get this going as some of us that will need hitches in the spring are.

Thanks,
tgt

I've been in contact with Daryl, he shared some pictures of a BMW X6M that has a similar hitch location as the Q5/SQ5. The BMW also has a removable panel on the bumper and this is how the Q5/SQ5 hitch will look.

It will be pretty sweet once it's finished!!

I'm not sure how I feel about that panel removal to access the hitch. I already have my OEM hitch installed though, so pay no attention to me.

The Invisihitch Execuhitch would be for people who like the clean look of the SUV without a hitch. The SQ5 has a nice rear end, and I prefer to maintain that look, so this hitch is perfect for me...

Plus, it's less than half the cost of OEM, so even better!

As I mentioned, eagerly awaiting results of this as well to see how it turns out. I too, am interested in the clean look when I don't have a bike rack or tow bar on.

Half the price of OEM is a bit open ended. Half the price from where, a local Audi dealer? Online dealer? The OEM Q5/SQ5 hitch with full Electronics from an online Audi dealer is around $600 shipped. I doubt the execuhitch is going to come in at $300 shipped with full electronics (based on the prices advertised on the website). I'm not saying it won't be worth it, but just want to make sure we're all talking apples to apples here.

Sorry everyone, the ice storm hitting the southeast has been hindering my visit to Execuhitch. Their next open slot is Wednesday next week.
