Default This might be the best aftermarket hitch for the Q5

I found Invisihitch, an aftermarket hitch that hides out of the way when not in use, but noticed they don't have anything for the Q, so I emailed them and just heard back:

Yes we are planning on developing Audi’s starting in January. As you probably know our hitch is behind the fascia and is not visible until an accessory is inserted. We will offer both hitches and removable square tubes for bike racks (no wiring harness).
Where are you located? We offer people that will bring their car to us twice for development a substantial discount.

Any Q owners from Georgia that could let them use their car and get a discount? Contact Steve: snance [at] invisihitch.com

Default Nothing new for Europe...

For example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...at=0&_from=R40

There is also a factory supported hitch in Europe. For example (petrol engine page): http://www.partscats.info/audi/en/?i...ent_id=1729309 You can see it contrasted with the U.S. box style on the same page.

Given the weight, getting this here is among the issues.

Yeah, beats OEM for aesthetics and costs much less.

As wrote MP4.2 +6.0 this model has long existed in the European market
I do not know why not in the U.S. market. Perhaps some legislation
Original equipment for all cars is still much more expensive than aftermarket solution
