Actually it's not touching anything. Read the thread on bimmerfest, seems it's really solid and everyone likes it. It might have to be customized by a weld shop to fit the Audi tow hooks, but still a better option than paying through the nose for the OEM tow hook.

Second for the bike. Just got mine - Scot Scale 930 with all upgrades - 23 lbs. Now waiting to hook it up to my new TDI

The rack holds the bike by straps on the top tube; that's what I meant by poor execution and why I wouldn't use it.

Thanks for the pics of the 1upusa bike rack. That's the exact set up I've got coming. I ordered the Curt hitch from etrailer and the 1up in black to go with my black Q5. I'll probably leave the rack on full time as we'll for my 19lb 2014 Giant XTC Advanced 27.5 hardtail MTB
