how disabled electric parking brake auto engage?
I think the door switch is intermittent causing the elec parking brake to engage. My A4 had that infamous door switch problem too. Is there a way to turn auto pkg brake off for now?

See your owner's manual there is probably a fuse. No idea what else might be on the same fuse, the manual might say.
But that also means you will be disabling the "emergency" brake on the car.
Have you checked for an OBD code? Most chains will read them for free if you don't want to buy a reader. A simple wireless OBD plug and a free app (or both from Carista) will do that.
I would expect the same door switch enables the overhead light, so if your interior light is not turning on--the door switch IS signaling "closed" and the problem is elsewhere.
