Default AT&T 4G LTE data

I just read an announcement that Audi has teamed with AT&T and is offering 4G LTE data to the 2015 A3 with other models to follow. As most of you know, we have T-Mobile connectivity via the sim card in our newer Q5's.
Wondering if, as an AT&T customer, one can use the AT&T data plan by obtaining a sim card from AT&T?
I'm not up on IT like some of you are..........anybody want to chime in?

Short answer is no - T-Mobile and AT&T use different frequencies.

The answer is simple: IMPOSSIBLE

The new generation Q5 2016 will have this option

It has to be a replaceable module. The question is whether Audi will allow to do that. I am sure after market will come up with something.

Totally different hardware and software.

It is possible to do so for only 5000 Eur = $ 6880

True enough on 3G but an AT&T sim will work at 2G speed only.

The news gets better, or at least, more complicated. Apparently Audi is going to also tie in a 10+ inch Audi-branded Android tablet, which will allow communications, navigation, and some car settings to be set. The release I saw was unclear as to whether that tablet would be "stand alone" or also snap into the dash, making it a very flexible device.

Someone at Audi must have been reading the notes I've been posting online for the past couple of months.<G>
