Had invisihitch mounted on my SQ5 couple of years ago and the aluminum brace that was removed during install has been sitting in my garage collecting dust. Thinking if I ever might need it or is it safe to discard?

You'll need if you ever remove the hitch from the car.

Also it's worth something to a bodyshop. Stop by one and see what they'll give you but even if it's 50$ why not? Buy beer.
