Just bought a SQ5

Hello Audi World! New to the Audi game, just bought a 2014 SQ5 a week ago, just came here to see what everyone's opinion is on the best/first upgrades to do. Best tune, exhaust etc. 100% want to make that supercharger whine, either by getting an open cold air intake, or getting a new tube to the throttle body and modding the stock intake box. Love the thing so far, traded in my 2004 F250 powerstroke for it so it's a huge difference haha.

Best first thing to do is get current on maintenance. Then 034 stage 1 ECU and TCU.

Whenever I want to hear a whine in my car, I just bring my wife along for the ride. Louder then any after-market bolt on. :)

Congrats on the new ride! You don't mention how many miles are on it? As someone has stated - best first mod is either verifying the scheduled maint. has been done or make sure you do it;
  • Spark Plugs - Scheduled to be done at 60K
  • Audi claims its not serviceable but you should complete a Transmission fluid change if you are near 60kish - FCPEuro sells a "complete" kit; https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/aud...zf-0bk398009kt
  • Air Filter - If you do plan on upgrading to get more whine - don't bother as you will need a different air filter - 034 makes a great intake kit and so does Integrated Engineering
  • Brakes - Also on the scheduled maint. at 60K - but better just to have your pads and rotors measured to see if you really need to do anything here.

Once you are past that stuff - Stage 1 - you really can't go wrong with any of the tuners - this is a well tested/vetted drivetrain 3.0T/ZF8 - if you want to be able to load the tune/change the tune at home you can go with Integrated Engineering - 034 - EPL. All make great stage 1 tunes and are known for "tweaking" tunes for customer when needed.

Here is a great Youtube Channel that goes over SQ5 with light mods and results at the drag strip and on the Dyno;

Thank you very much! It has 92k miles on it, yeah it's a little much but the service history was good on it. I plan on doing my own servicing very soon on it (oil, brakes etc). So far I'm very much enjoying it!

One thing I'm going to have to just bite the bullet on is the 034 tune, $800 for the ECU tune and the flash device. I bought a 150 hp tune for my old 6.0 powerstroke for $100, crazy differece lol.

Get the TCU tune too. They work together very well.
